The Dartford Half Marathon

 

The Dartford Half Marathon is run each July in conjunction with the Dartford Festival. The first Dartford Half Marathon was run in 1977 and was won by Steve Ovett (pictured right), who went on to win the Olympic Gold medal over 800 metres at the 1980 Moscow Olympics

The race is held over a challenging undulating course starting at the Dartford track then heading out onto the roads before threading through the picturesque lanes of south Darenth and eventually heading back towards Dartford. Most runners throughly enjoy the last three miles which are predominantly downhill.

Entries for the Dartford Half Marathon are £12 for affiliated club runners and £14 for all other runners to a limit of 750 entries
(late entries cost £15).

31st Dartford Half Marathon 2007

Support the longest continuously running road race in Kent

Sunday 22nd July 2007 at 9am

One lap, challenging rural Dartford route with start/finish in
Central Park on the Athletics Track home of the Dartford Harriers AC.

This event also has a Fun Run starting at 9.15am-entries taken on the day only (£3.00).

All Finishers Receive a Memento

Postal Entries & Fees: UKA Affiliated Club entry fee is £12.00; Unaffiliated entry £14.00.

Closing Date for receipt of postal entries is Wednesday 18th July 2007

Entry limited to 750 Entries on the day-If limit is not reached
these will be taken no later than 7.30am, at a cost of £15.00.

Participants must be 17 years and over on the race day.

Facilities Men and Ladies changing rooms, Toilet, Showers & Baggage Facilities.
